This project is a personal level art study focused on building a cohesive, atmospheric environment using primarily marketplace assets, with an emphasis on composition, storytelling, material blending, and lighting.
The scene takes place in a forgotten subterranean cavern, where the remains of a colossal creature have become part of the ecosystem. Over time, organic growth, fungal life, and mineral formations have reclaimed the space. The goal was to create a calm, immersive environment with a strong sense of scale, while maintaining visual readability and clear player navigation.
I was responsible for concept direction, level blockout, set dressing, custom shader creation, and final lighting. The blockout focused on silhouette and player pathing, using large structural forms such as arches, bridges, and vertical shafts to guide the eye and support exploration.
